How do I get there?
By Plane: Fly into Juan Santamaría International Airport in San Jose (SJO) then catch a 20 mins connecting flight to Manzanillo or Tambor.
Manzanillo Airstrip is serviced by Green Airways and Carmon Air and is a convenient 10 min drive from Kaya Bloom.
Tambor airstrip is serviced by Green Airways, Sansa, and other domestic companies and is a 60 min drive from Kaya Bloom.
We can also arrange a private charter flight to accommodate any time most convenient for you and your group.
By Car: Drive from SJO to Puntarenas,1.5 hours and take the scenic 1 hour ferry to Paquera. Afterward enjoy the winding jungle roads for another short hour to Kaya Bloom.
6am: San Jose to Cobano
2pm: San Jose to Playa Carmen, Mal Pais crossroads
The journey takes around 6 hrs. From either bus stop, you will need to take a taxi or we can arrange a private transfer for you.
Private Shuttle: Private shuttle companies offer transfer in smaller, air-conditioned mini-busses for a more comfortable and slightly shorter journey.
Can my pet come too?
Are we pet friendly? You bet! Cats and dogs are welcome!
A maximum of two pets are allowed per room at no extra charge. Just make sure your furry friends do their business in the designated areas and behave when outside the room.
Sorry, no pets in the restaurant or pool (that’s the health department’s call and we’ve gotta heed their rules). Pets cannot be left unattended at any time.
Do I need a vehicle?
Having transportation in this region is convenient. There is loads to explore! The roads are rough so an All-Wheel Drive or 4×4 is recommended.
If you do not arrive by car, no worries! There are a number of car and ATV rental companies in town. Let us know if you would like us to assist you in pre-booking.
We can also arrange private transportation for specific activities should you not require transportation for the entire duration of your stay.
Uh oh, I need to cancel
Life happens. We get that.
Now, more than ever we understand the need for flexibility. Due to rapidly changing restrictions due to the COVID-19 pandemic we have adjusted our Terms & Conditions and Cancellation Policy to give you peace of mind and flexibility in your travel plans.
Any existing booking you have with us may be postponed to a later date without having to select a future day immediately or canceled altogether.
If you cancel more than 60 days before your reservation, the full booking deposit will be reimbursed. If you cancel less than 60 days before your reservation but at least 15 days prior, your deposit will be withheld as penalty. If you cancel within 14 days of your reservation the full amount of your booking will be charged to the credit card on file.
For groups, retreats, weddings or any other private events the Cancellation Policy will be on a per-booking basis and outlined in your independent rental contract
